CEETL faculty development events are open to all lecturer and T/TT faculty and those who support them, including staff and administrators:
Equitable Teaching Workshop Series
The Equitable Teaching Workshop Series explores foundational teaching approaches that foster equity and inclusivity in support of student success. CEETL workshops are active, participatory, and engaging ways for faculty to learn about, practice, and reflect on their teaching. These workshops are offered to the campus community and by departmental request. If you would like to host a workshop in your department, please contact email@example.com.
CEETL faculty fellows and staff consultants offer individual and group consultations to lecturer faculty, T/TT faculty, and departments on a variety of topics related to teaching and learning, such as course design, student engagement activities, and positive responses to student evaluations of teaching effectiveness. CEETL consults are outcomes focused, in that participants set goals, share relevant resources, and set achievable action plans to move forward.
Happy Hour Workshops
CEETL Happy Hour Workshops showcase the innovative, inclusive and engaging pedagogies of the CEETL faculty fellows. Participants engage in convivial imbibing while learning about and reflecting on teaching. Wine, Beer, Non-Alcoholic Beverages and Snacks Provided!
Open Classrooms: Teaching as A Specta(c)tor Sport
Open Classrooms: Teaching as a Specta(c)tor Sport is an opportunity for faculty to learn more about their own teaching and learning by either hosting or visiting colleagues to observe teaching practices using a non-evaluative frame. CEETL hopes to encourage more public discourse about teaching and learning by inspiring faculty to discover and celebrate the extraordinary in the ordinary and the revelatory in the mundane. The only rules for participating are that you host visitors or enter classrooms with an open attitude and a commitment to learn from your experience. Participants are invited to an ice cream social the following week to informally share their experiences with each other.
