CEETL has posted the following full-time temporary staff positions, funded through a CARES 2 allocation, that will allow our center to further extend our support for faculty teaching online in the Fall. These positions will assist the campus community in the design and development of learning experiences that apply inclusive, anti-racist, and liberatory pedagogies in support of student success.

CEETL Instructional Designer [4 positions available]

Full time, Temporary 9-month position

Reporting to the Director of Teaching and Learning Programs and Services within the Center for Equity & Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CEETL), this position supports the campus community in the design and development of learning experiences that apply inclusive, anti-racist, and liberatory pedagogies in support of student success. Working primarily through remote and computer modalities, and in collaborative consultation with CEETL faculty and staff, work activities include instructional design, individual and group consultation, instructional materials development, project management, faculty development, and user support. In addition, this position provides support for CEETL initiatives, which may include remote faculty development programming; programming and leadership for projects aligned with university initiatives; and/or campus communications and outreach, especially as they relate to justice, equity, diversity and inclusion.

CEETL Digital Media Specialist [1 position available]

Full-time, Temporary 9-month position

Reporting to the Director of Teaching and Learning Programs and Services within the Center for Equity & Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CEETL), this position supports the campus community in the design and development of instructional digital media productions that apply inclusive, anti-racist, and liberatory pedagogies in support of student success. Working primarily through remote and computer modalities, and in collaborative consultation with CEETL faculty and staff, work activities include performing the technical, aesthetic and programmatic components of video, audio, and photographic productions during all of its production stages, as well as supporting faculty and staff in the creation of their own instructional digital media. The Digital Media Specialist should have strong visual and interpersonal communication skills, a solid foundation in photographic and video production techniques during pre-production, production and post-production stages, and a demonstrated commitment to honoring and promoting equity and inclusion in all its forms.

CEETL Web & User Experience Designer [1 position available]

Full-time, Temporary 9-month position

Reporting to the Director of Teaching and Learning Programs and Services within Faculty Affairs, the Web and User Experience Designer works collaboratively across the various units within Faculty Affairs to consolidate, convert and optimize a collection of existing websites, online services, and printed collateral into a cohesive, compelling and user-friendly environment that positively communicates and supports the core values, brand and mission of the University as they relate to equity, inclusion and social justice. Designs and develops web and mobile interfaces and print collateral that meet University and industry standards for accessibility, branding, graphics, usability, and best practices for delivering information and experiences online and in print. Administers communication platforms, such as electronic newsletter campaigns, digital badging, and virtual event registration and delivery platforms. Supports Faculty Affairs units in establishing intuitive content management workflows, including content development, approvals, and publishing processes in web, mobile and print environments. Incumbents should have strong digital graphics skills and be able to author accessible, modern HTML and CSS templates, themes, or pages. The CEETL Web and User Experience Designer should have a demonstrated commitment to honoring and promoting equity and inclusion in all its forms, and the ability to apply inclusive and anti-racist representation and design principles that honor, communicate and promote justice, equity, diversity and inclusion.

CEETL Communications & Outreach Specialist [1 position available]

Full-time, Temporary 9-month position

Reporting to the Director of Teaching and Learning Programs and Services within Faculty Affairs, this position develops, writes, edits, and proofreads communications in support of the core mission and values of the Center for Equity & Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CEETL); collaborates with instructional designers, photographers, faculty and others on the theme, design, content and layout of print, electronic, web-based and social media publications to maximize impact, reinforcing anti-racist principles in support of justice, equity, diversity and inclusion; and participates in the redesign, development and ongoing management of the Faculty Affairs and CEETL websites. The Communications & Outreach Specialist should have strong written and verbal communication skills with a solid foundation in grammar, spelling, and the composition of various communication vehicles, and a demonstrated commitment to honoring and promoting equity and inclusion in all its forms.

CEETL Administrative Coordinator [1 position available]

Full-time, Temporary 9-month position

Reporting to the Director of Teaching and Learning Programs and Services within Faculty Affairs, and working within the Center for Equity & Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CEETL), this position is a core member of the CEETL team, interfacing with and providing administrative support to faculty, staff and the campus community as they develop and engage in programs that promote inclusive and anti-racist pedagogies in support of student success. Critical administrative tasks are related to budgeting, procurement and events management, and include planning and carrying out event and program logistics, purchasing supplies and ordering hospitality, activating and monitoring event registrations, tracking and awarding certifications of completion, and processing payments of faculty stipends and honoraria. The CEETL Administrative Coordinator should have strong interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to justice, equity, diversity and inclusion.
