Now more than ever, Affordable Learning is a priority at SF State. Through Open Educational resources (OER) and/or Affordable Instructional Materials (AIM), faculty can make their courses more affordable and equitable. SF State faculty have saved students $7 million dollars in materials fees.

Quality Learning & Teaching
At SF State, we've cultivated a robust faculty learning community dedicated to quality learning and teaching. The QLT community includes the QLT Ambassadors, Mentors and SF State faculty experienced and interested in hybrid and online teaching.
Small Group Instructional Feedback
This is a facilitated, formative mid-course check-in process for gathering information from students about their learning experience in a course. The process is anonymous and designed to foster personal reflection.
Writing Across the Curriculum/Writing within the Curriculum
Writing across the curriculum/writing in the discipline (WAC/WID) describes a student-centered national movement to integrate writing across the curriculum and within all disciplines in higher education. The WAC/WID program at SF State aims to provide support to faculty teaching writing-intensive courses through creating opportunities for faculty to share best practices for effective writing pedagogy and strategies to assess student writing.
