Our SF State campus community has advising centers, tutoring centers and courses to help guide you to make the choices that best fit your educational goals. We also have collected resources from other universities with digitally accessible guides and toolkits.

Curation of Different SF State Resources

Advising Resource Center is located in the College of Liberal & Creative Arts (LAC) and partners with students to achieve their learning goals while pursuing a LCA major, minor or certificate.

The Developmental Studies Office provides support for students who are a part of the Early Assessment Program, Early Start Program, and Development Support.

Services are provided for EOP students –California residents and eligible AB 540 students who meet the income eligibility index and are a first generation college student.

Grammar and Editing for Multilingual Students ENG 415 is an upper-division grammar and editing course designed to be taken concurrently with GWAR. This course offers instruction and practice in editing for accuracy and style, as well as correct use of citations. Students will also learn to understand and fulfill the requirements of diverse writing and reading tasks, using their GWAR assignments as practice material. This course is suitable for all majors and disciplines.

ENG 418 is intended for those who would like to improve their writing and reading through the study of grammatical sentence structures. Students will learn how to write polished, grammatically complex sentences, and give you confidence in your ability to express your ideas correctly and with style. This course is suitable for all majors and disciplines.

Attending Friday Writing and Reading Group for GWAR Students. Learn how to write independently in the company of other student writers.
