Faculty Outing: Angel Island

Ride the ferry with us to Angel Island and be in community with colleagues. We will have the option to visit the Angel Island Immigration Station, once known as the “Ellis Island of the West,” and see the poems the first immigrants left behind on the barrack walls. We will learn about the exclusionary laws that restricted immigration to America and discover stories of strength, hope, and resiliency. Bring a lunch and your clipper card to save on ferry tickets. Round trip tickets cost $20 per person. Non-clipper card tickets are $31. If you need to use the shuttle or choose to tour the island on the tram, please bring extra money to pay for those.
