Alternative Assessment Strategies for Online Teaching offer resources and activities around creating assessments that enhance student learning and foster academic integrity. Micro-courses are short courses focused on one topic.

In this micro-course, participants will:

  • Discuss best practices to develop a variety of meaningful alternative assessments (i.e., low/high stakes, formative, summative and etc.).
  • Explore assessment strategies for maintaining academic integrity while conducting assessments online.
  • Reflect and share alternative assessment methods they plan to use in online classes.

This course remains open as a resource for SF State faculty.

Stipends for faculty completion of CEETL course offerings were made possible through one-time emergency federal funding (CARES and HEERF) for COVID-19. This funding source has now concluded as of 4/25/22. CEETL courses remain available as a resources for the campus community, though stipends for completion will no longer be awarded.
