Drinks and light snacks will be provided. Meetings will occur February 14; March 13; April 10; May 8. For more information, please contact kasturi@sfsu.edu and ceetl@sfsu.edu
A $50 honorarium will be awarded to all Faculty participants for each session.
CEETL facilitated a GWAR Learning Community in Fall 2023
The GWAR learning community is a discussion-based support course for current and future GWAR instructors. Together, we will share our strategies for workload management, student engagement, grading, peer review, and best practices in the teaching of reading and writing. The learning community will meet over the course of 3 synchronous Zoom meetings; there will be some asynchronous activities as well. The total time commitment is 10 hours and participants who successfully complete the learning community will be eligible for $500 stipends. Participants from last year’s GWAR learning community who could not complete the course are particularly encouraged to apply.
Fridays 10am-12pm (Zoom): October 6; October 20; November 3;
Please note:
- Faculty who register and complete the GWAR Learning Community by November 8, 2023 will receive a stipend of $500.
- Due to CSU policy, the following appointments will not be eligible to receive a stipend: MPPs, Staff, and individuals not actively employed at SF State.
- Stipends are only valid with an active teaching appointment during the time of work and payment. If the participating faculty member is found to not have an active appointment, stipends become invalid.
- All stipends for CEETL course completions by eligible participants are processed through payroll and are subject to tax, so the final amount and timing for stipend payments may vary according to individual tax rates and employment status with the university. To monitor incoming payments, we recommend you turn on your bank notifications to get alerts on your accounts.
