Spring 2025 Offerings
JEDI PIE Certificate:
A New Hope is the first of three slices of CEETL's new JEDI PIE Certificate offering, Return of the JEDI Course Series. Built on the foundations of the 2021 JEDI PIE Certificate that focused on anti-racist pedagogy, this new certificate will focus on culturally relevant pedagogy. The first course in this series aims to build a theoretical foundation of inclusive pedagogy through a critical examination of the historical and social foundations of US Higher Education. It will offer models of pedagogies to dismantle the various forms of oppression that have emanated from this historical foundation.
Whether you are new or returning to CEETL's JEDI courses, we are certain you will take away new insights, theories and practices.
- Course Logistics
The course starts on February 1st. We anticipate that you can complete this slice of JEDI PIE in approximately 8-10 hours. There is a Course Completion Digital Badge + a token $250 stipend available to those who meet the course activities and engagement criteria by April 15th. By completing all three slices of the 2025 JEDI PIE over the year, you will earn CEETL's Certificate in JEDI PIE and up to $1000. A New Hope Slice is a prerequisite course for future JEDI slices in the Return of the JEDI Series. For budget reasons, completing the course after April 15th will earn a badge but no stipend.
